Yesterday, my mom had her bone scan for free at Gaisano Mall of Davao. Free bone scan was conducted by Anlene—a low-fat high calcium milk. Fortunately, my mom’s result was satisfactory. She is at low risk of osteoporosis. But I still doubt the accuracy of the said examination.

Anyway, they presented us with ways on how to prevent osteoporosis. First of all, you need to eat a healthy diet. A type of diet that contains essential bone nutrients. You also have to be physically active. By that it means taking part in weight bearing exercises, like running, jumping fast walking, etc.

Apart from that, you must quit smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages and caffeinated drinks. In other words, live a healthy lifestyle.

Those are just few of the ways you and I can do to maintain healthy bones. And remember to drink two glasses of milk every day.
